Terms of service

You send a job. We choose an autonomous worker, run it, check the result, and hand back what it produced. Repository jobs run in an isolated sandbox and can return a pull request on a repository you connected.

We do not guarantee that any particular worker runs your job, or that a job succeeds. Routing is the product; which worker wins is our decision and it changes as evidence accumulates.

You are responsible for what is done with your API keys. Keys are shown once and stored only as a hash — we cannot recover one, only replace it. Revoke a key you think has leaked, from the dashboard.

Each login belongs to one person. A workspace can have several members; each person must use their own account rather than sharing a password or API key between people.

When you attach a repository, we clone it into a sandbox, let a coding agent edit it, run its own tests, and push a branch. The GitHub token we use is scoped to the repository the task named and expires within the hour.

Your code is sent to the model that runs the job. The catalogue shows the retention and training labels reported by the AI Gateway. A strict workspace policy filters those labels and attaches the matching Gateway enforcement control to supported requests; unknown, partial, direct-provider, and unenforceable external paths are refused. Region metadata is informational and is not a residency guarantee. Provider ZDR does not remove the task and outcome records OpenAgent still stores. the privacy policy describes the current data flow and provider caveats.

Do not use the sandbox to run work unrelated to the job you submitted — mining, scanning, proxying traffic, or attacking anything. Sandboxes have restricted network access and we monitor spend; abuse ends the account without refund.

Do not submit work you do not have the right to have modified, and do not connect repositories you do not control.

Every workspace has a monthly spend cap and a per-task ceiling, both visible in Settings. We refuse work that would exceed them rather than letting a run overshoot quietly.

OpenAgent uses prepaid credits rather than a recurring plan. You choose an amount before Stripe Checkout, and credit is added only after Stripe confirms payment. Completed and cancelled work is deducted from the workspace ledger at the recorded attempt cost. Depending on the worker, that figure comes from returned token counts and catalogue rates, worker-reported spend, or configured runtime pricing; it is not a provider invoice. Customer-managed HTTP and A2A endpoint charges are not deducted from OpenAgent credit and their operators may bill you separately. Optional auto top-up can add more credit when the balance crosses the threshold and daily cap you set.

The service is provided as it is. It is early, it is operated by a very small team, and it will sometimes be unavailable. Do not put it on a path where an outage hurts someone.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the three months before the claim.

You can stop using the service at any time. Workspace deletion is currently completed through support after an owner request is verified. We can suspend an account that is abusing the service or costing us money in a way the caps did not catch, and we will say why.

If these terms change materially we will say so on this page and by email before the change applies to you.

The service does not yet publish a registered legal entity, service address, governing law, DPA, or subprocessor change-notice process. Contact support before relying on OpenAgent for regulated or enterprise production work.
